Hooray for the Browncoats!
Here is my own version of the Cunning Hat Jayne recieved from his mother in "The Message"episode of Firefly.
It's crocheted, using Canon Perfect Match yarn in Sunflower 7723, Red Heart Soft Yarn in 4422 Tangerine, and Red Heart Soft Yarn in 9275 Paprika. All yarns are 100% acrylic, but the gauge is pretty small. I was having the hardest time finding the right colors, so I went for color accuracy rather than weight accuracy. The yarn in the original hat is of a larger gauge, but I could't get the right colors in the heavier weight.
The lovely ladies modeling it are two other browncoats on my hall that my other friends and I got addicted to the best series ever...
Hope to give this to my brother for Christmas.
My first time ever making a hat!...pretty much my first time ever making anything but a scarf.
