Is it just me, or are a lot of my recent journal entries sounding somewhat rantish?

I am SO sick of seeing pornography on the front page of DA. Really. Really. Sick of it. I know it's not DA's fault; it's programmed to throw up whatever's getting the most pageviews. What bugs me is that THAT crap is what is getting the attention. It usually winds up being one of these:

closeup photo of female genitalia (photoshopped all to blazes, btw)
photo or drawing of barely clothed female(s) in obviously seductive positions (the legs in the air with the be-pantied crotch peeking out is popular...)
photos of simpering models in revealing lingerie
wacky fetish drawings or photos of females (trend here, maybe?) with unbelievable proportions

And all of these "works of art" feature skinny (unless it's a fat fetish drawing), naked, ideal females with all their realistic points photoshopped out (or if it's a drawing, just left out entirely), in poses and environments that have absolutely nothing to do with reality. And I don't have a problem with "fantasy," mind, I'm just thinking this: people spend all their time looking at and contemplating these ideal figures that, for all intents and purposes, do not exist. And THEN they wonder why they can't keep their relationships from failing. People don't know how to relate to reality anymore!

Guys on DA: guess what!?! If you are lucky enough for a girl to accept a proposal of marriage from you, and you end up marrying, buying a house and having a family, you are in for a big surprise. Life isn't about sex! It's part of a healthy marriage, but it doesn't receive the most attention. Which is why you shouldn't give it all your attention now!

Ugh. I wish stuff like that just wasn't even allowed on DA...I mean, there's such a thing as art, but seriously: you know the artists or photographers are either totally getting off on these stupid things, or the model is just doing this to make herself feel better about herself. Which is just cheap.
